Fuck you. I own the damn thing I get to do what the fuck I want with it. I will say I have never put a new aftermarket kit into an EV (I don't own an EV but my vehicle from the 90's has a nice head unit with back and dash cam, gps, etc that I installed about 2 years ago) It can also only talk to what I let it.

From the post:

>The aftermarket kit for GM Ultium-platform EVs was launched in November 2024 after GM dropped Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from its Ultium EVs in December of 2023. The company reportedly plans to discontinue the offering in all its future models soon in favor of its own built-in in-vehicle infotainment systems.

Seems very silly to me. GM has enough other problems

This is just at the dealership level. Nothing really preventing the end user from installing it themselves after purchase. Still, pretty dumb to stop offering a feature that the customers want. Almost as dumb as buying an EV in the first place.

Yeah. The answer in business is never "no". Its "how much do you want to pay".
