The mfg are making things impossible to work on, partly due to gov regulations, partly due to questionable design choices like starters in the intake valley and internal rubber belts in oil.

Old days - starter died - two bolts and 2 wires it's swapped out. 1 hr.

Nowadays - starter died - remove the fuel injection, wiring, egr, throttle body, air intake, remove intake manifold , replace the 1 time use bolts , gaskets, coolant, etc etc, reassemble. 15 hrs of labor.

Designed obsolescence, you can thank Obama for starting that.

A Nissan with a bad transmission? lololol yeah...the CVTs in those go down more than a crack whore on 20th street.

When TaTa came out with the Nano, I had visions of cars being littered on the side of road as they broke down. The owners would buy a new one and resume their journey. But the Nano never made it to the American market.
