I guess that is one way to look at it. I for one like my 20 year old car that the only "tech" in it other than what it needs to run was added and is maintained by me.

No one will pay much for your 5 year old PC or cellphone. Electric cars are no different, old tech. The billionaire car collecter auctions won't be adding a Tesla to their sales.
