During the Independence War, some Territory of Canada citizens fought on our side. They couldn't go back to Canada, so they were given the option of accepting land here. There's a big old brick house in Reynoldsburg on Livingston Avenue (that some niggers got hold of and painted it gray...) that's supposedly the last refugee tract accepted by a ex-pat Canadian.
