Air Canada Allegedly Kicks Passengers Off Flight For Agreeing To Sit In Wet Vomit-Stained Seats

Ftfy.

They said they wouldn’t sit in the seats like they were. A witness said, “They were not rude, not yelling, not belligerent.” Then they cleaned up the vomit mess themselves because the airline would not and then went ahead and sat on the wet vomit-stained seats anyway. Then they got kicked off. For what exactly? I still haven’t figured this out. As far as I can tell they were far more agreeable and cooperative than anyone has any right to expect.

And that Air Canada apparently has zero tolerance for negative feedback.

I've flown once on Air Canada, around 25 years ago because the flight was on over booked and I was asked to take a different set of flights going through Canada to end up in Florida, they gave me money and made sure I got first class seats. Even back then, and in first class, the service was shit. Right from the moment you step on the plane and see the flight attendants, ALL of them were quite snooty. The feeling they gave off was "how dare you step onto this plane and make me work". Not just to me. Everyone got it. The meal was cold and basically tasted like a TV dinner.

Long story short, if you're ever in Chicago (get the fuck out first of all) and have your flights out messed with, don't ever fly Air Canada just because it is the only option that can get you to your destination just a few hours later than your normal arrival time. I hope it is not an option anymore to use airlines from other countries, you'd be better off staying in a hotel right beside the airport and waiting until the next day, or even getting bussed somewhere else.

This is why if I'm ever dictator, there's going to be a meeting with airline execs where I explain the concept of a "contract" where the customer pays you, and you get them from Point A to Point B at the agreed upon time. If their original plane isnt getting the job done, well they better find a mutually agreeable plan with their customers. If that means they have to book last minute, first class seats on a competitor...that's your problem Mr Airline. Because a deal's a deal, and if you dont figure it out then you're hiring a private fucking plane to get your passengers there on time as per the contract.

And if the airline execs dont like that...bust a deal, face the wheel. And for some strange reason, no airlines will coerce passengers anymore.

Air Canada is as embarrassing to Canadian's as CBC. They've been the "Bud light" of airline companies for decades.
