A good statement of principles. I noticed that he did not say "God-given rights." You can't talk about human rights without talking about God, because if you deny that the rights are God-given, they become arbitrary and subject to change or violation at a moment's notice ... as, indeed, we see they are today at the hands of our atheistic elected officials, media talking heads, and university commies. Rights that are given by God are not subject to change by elected officials, or even unelected dictators. They may have the power to prevent us from enjoying those rights, no one can take them away from us. They are a part of who and what we are.
