Every province has an emergency act. It's the renewed addendum and overreach. This was at the request of Trudeau and I think you're downplaying this too much.
It wasn't my intention to downplay, but I did want to alleviate some stress. We have enough problems going on without some new sweeping draconian emergency martial law, when in fact this is the same law as before, it may seem like a moot point but it makes a difference psychologically.
> when in fact this is the same law as before
This was made Sept 13. Can you show an earlier instance of the same verbiage?
Yes I can, scroll down to Saskatchewan https://www.mccarthy.ca/en/insights/articles/covid-19-emergency-measures-tracker
But it might be easier to just show proof that it is indeed a renewal of the Emergency Act https://publications.saskatchewan.ca/#/products/114910
And here is the Emergency Act of 1989, scroll to page 11 section 18 you can see it is the same verbiage. https://www.canlii.org/en/sk/laws/stat/ss-1989-90-c-e-8.1/latest/ss-1989-90-c-e-8.1.html
