I was looking to upgrade my 2080S and then give the 2080S to my son for Christmas.

Well forget that. There is nothing even close to reasonably priced. Hell even the 2080S which I think I paid like 700 something for is over 1000 dollars. I'm not going to pay 2000+ for a 3080. Insane.

I bet this is hurting other pc part manufacturers. If you can't get a graphics card then you likely might put off upgrading the rest of your pc.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Yeah, a $1600 beast. I only buy a new GPU maybe once every 3-5 years, always a flagship model, so that one will last me that duration easily.

Also, I'm planning on upgrading my monitor to an ultra-wide sometime next year. The extra horsepower will be necessary.

Looks nice. I have 27" 2k monitor as my main display. Been happy with that. Never had a curved monitor.

The firewall guys at work got curved monitor upgrades, and I fell in love as soon as I saw them. My peripheral vision is really good, so an ultrawide curved monitor would be a huge upgrade in immersion for me.
