Which one would you prefer? The Crucial claims to be more robust in case of a shutdown and it's also considerably cheaper. The Samsung claims improved compatibility with Linux but I think there are problems with some current AMD mb models.

For desktop and server use, Samsung Evo for the last three generations have been great. I have them in Intel and AMD systems old and new. In my opinion, absolutely worth the price penalty.

edit: Most of my systems run Linux.

I have about 7 Samsung evos of varying sizes and models in a hackintosh I built circa 2013 for audio production purposes.

I didn't start with them, but added them to the system over the years for system optimization, new projects, and a short addiction to plugins and samples.

None of them have failed and they've all seen decent usage and extended power on time.

Only time I've ever seen an EVO go bad was in a client's server - we had an SSD die during a chkdsk.

It was 1.5 years old and powered 24/7, it's cloned replacement has been in service for 2 years since.

Had a few ADATA ssds from customers just go kaput lights out, no more.

Just my 2 cents.
