Just listened to parents gush about retirement plans they're sailing off into this year. It's pretty gratuitous too. Like not even going to live near any relatives or their offspring. Just going to visit DisneyLand and shit (seriously, it's another topic entirely).

"...and then we'll come out and visit you and your brother..." yeah let's not

I can save twice as hard as they did and will never be able to retire.

Civil war, rope, arms. That is the best we can hope for in our lifespans... then our children will reap the harvest

Invest in skills, knowledge, trial & error, invest in making mistakes when they're easy to recover from, etc

Know some boomers that took care of their families over themselves. Also see many standing up for rights that will probably get pissed away by generations that decided to roll through indoctrination camps... I mean colleges. Know what it's like to be one of the youngest at a 2a rally?

Strange isn't it. Mixed bag of life. Nobody elected to participate in this thing called life, but it's abhorrent to exit of your own will. Huh

It's not strange at all as it's just the way of nature. You're right, no one asks for, as did none of our forbearers, but we'd not have the luxury to even contemplate such a thing if they decided to just give up along any part of their lives.

So we soldier on... confident that despite recent backsliding, white race will escape to the stars

Bullshit. Am a boomer. Suffered through not having enough money to buy pantyhose for work in the 80s, ALWAYS paid ourselves first through hard work. Fuck you and fuck off with that bullshit.

lol knew I'd get this response!

me me me me me 😂😂😂😂😂😂

getting yours on the backs of the progeny!

Absolutely. Worked, scrimped, saved, and made food investment choices. Totally on the back of little whiney basement dwelling kids. Haha haha. Thanks for the laugh. Oh, and we paid ALL our college debt ourselves, for ourselves, and our kids.

You're gay go die before you reverse mortgage your home so you at least help your kids a little bit.

Hahaha. My kids will inherit a shit ton of money, because as I said, always paid ourselves first.

Imagine being a woman and going to work somewhere with a dress code instead of staying home and raising your kids...

Didn’t have kids at the time. Stayed home and raised my kids, so moot point.

This assumes we have children to tend the crops and harvest them to begin with. At this point everyone is intimately aware of the cognitive disconnect and malignant narcissism of the baby boom generation. It's like beating a dead horse. The question at this point is what are you doing to prepare yourself, your family, and heirs for the decline.

It saddens me to have to admit, but: you're not wrong. It's tragic and I gain no joy from what is to come.

Envy is very bad.

Nothing to qualify. Envy is bad.

Men competing is the basis of civilization.

Envy is from the leftovers screwing it up afterwards because they didn't think of it first.
