Does anybody have a link to where on the WHO site it says this? That would stir things up with sheep more than screencaps/memes.

Sheep might have trouble understanding what it is saying, but that is what it is saying - lowering the cycle counts used, which will obviously lead to fewer false positives.

As I’ve been mentioning in Poal threads I see,

This originally went out December 14, 2020.

Nobody seemed to notice. Maybe you will.

Except the rest of the world was dragged into that shit.

Check out the latest UK news. Covid fear dominates the news.

tl;dr

Valued Colleagues,

  • RTFM. Read the fine manual.

  • Positive COVID PCR test is not an indication of Corona Virus Disease.

  • Weak positive results where the patient has no symptom but the PCR test is positive for COVID is invalid. Get a new specimen and test again.

  • (Honestly, I am not bullshitting here...) Disease prevalence alters the predictive value of test resutls.

  • The probability that a person who tests positive is truly infected falls as prevalence of disease falls.

  • PCR tests do not diagnose disease - they are a diagnostic aid for a doctor to make a medical diagnosis

  • Read the manual.

  • If you don't understand the manual, read it more.

  • if you still don't understand, ask for help

  • (Big one here: ) Communicate the Ct value (cycle threshold) in the report. I think before this you had to make sure your doctor asked for it.
