I hope more big cities ban them too. People are so callous riding them: they ride on side walks and hit you. Since you can't hear them, the rider needs to be vigilant about warning people they're about to pass you and they seldom do that.
Honestly, these vehicles don't need to exist at all. You can walk, take a taxi or a subway or bus.
