Plenty of videos go viral. It happens all the time. In this guy’s case, the video was shot by “Radio WV” which is obviously an entertainment media entity of some sort. The audio itself was also captured fairly professionally..or at least as professionally as can be done outside and with a single microphone. There is reverb added to the track too, if you listen close. It clearly wasn’t one of those things where they just plopped a webcam in front of him and recorded it with no regard for visual or audio quality.. but then that’s obvious to anyone paying attention. So that tells you something, and it’s not like they secretly made it sound decent while hiding the microphone from view of the camera. I think that most likely, Radio WV knew they had a good song on their hands and knew where to plant it for maximum organic growth effect. Does that mean he’s a “plant”? I don’t think so. It just means that the folks who shot and recorded the song know enough about social media that all they had to do was plant the seed in the right places and it would grow. This can’t be done with just any song, either. So credit where it’s due because the dude wrote a good song and someone with guerilla marketing chops recognized it. As for him turning down $8 million, I think it says something about his intellect if not his character. Because the truth is that this dude could now record an album and release it independently and he doesn’t need help from those faggots in the record industry. It’ll be easy for him to monetize now that so many people know him and love him, if he chooses to do so. Any half intelligent person in his shoes would do the same thing. It’s the same reason Tom McDonald also tells the record labels to go fuck themselves: he doesn’t need them and he hates them anyway.
