You should also learn to make BBQ sauce DYI that is not half "death"I mean corn syrup. I image there are a shit ton of cheap easy to make homemade BBQ sauce you can make cheap and healthy. I imagine there are ones you could be cooking now on simmer or double boiler that if you were near the kitchen you'd be drooling. My relative that is well off, guy is IQ man, he also focuses on something he wants to learn for 6 months and just learns it all.
We "a bunch of family" went to this place for the rib and chicken. He was sitting there "Man this sauce is amazing" over and over just obsessed with the taste of something that was far above the norm better than he imagined BBQ sauce could ever taste.
He called over our waitress and found out it was like $35 for a quart of this. I want a quart. I was broke most of the time so I asked $35 are you sure that is super expensive. He just looked at me and said. Me and a few friends are going to taste this stuff till we can get a list of all the ingredients we think are in it and then I'll make a gallon for around $5.
Here is my current recipe for BBQ sauce (I made it myself):
Can of tomato paste (a small one)
Water
Beef bullion cube
Onion powder
Paprika (a fair amount)
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Cayenne pepper
Brown sugar
Vinegar
Sriracha
Nope, I didn't add any measurements you just have to play with it until you get it right but when you do you will be amazed.
I have made small batches before, but usually don't have time time simmer it down , so usually I just look for some quality brands with no corn syrup of course...I also bought some from this small bbq place before too...they were good, but I think the lockdowns killed them for good
Hey, took me a while to find one without ketchup or other garbage like that. This seems like it would taste amazing from the ingredients alone seem like they should be in it. https://www.arheart.com/from-the-heart/chef-marks-heart-healthy-bbq-sauce/
