I got one myself when we moved into our new house last summer and I have been nothing but impressed with it's performance ever since. The grill temp gets so hot that those awesome grill marks that you always wanted on your steak magically appear and the sear is magnificent.

The thing about the grill though that is most important is that while your food is being cooked hot and fast on the outside the infrared radiation is also cooking the center of your meat at the same time, kinda like a microwave. It is some very, very cool technology and the prices have come WAY down.

Spend that extra and get the rotisserie DLC for the best crispy skin fall apart chicken ever. I had a IR grill with two cooking surfaces and dual rotisseries when I lived in Texas, still bummed I couldn't bring that home with me. The IR panels are a bitch to clean but well worth it for grilling perfection.

I love this fucking thing, from burgers to steaks and everything in between I can not recommend one of these highly enough. It's the next best thing to my smoker.

They are amazing. When I bought mine I was thinking it was a gimmick until I cooked some ribs up on it and they were a perfect red hue with spot on char marks. Took a bite and the meat slid right off the bone Memphis style. Now I am hungry.

Get one of these... but do like I did and wait until it's off-season. I hit mine during a 50% off sale last February.
