From the post:

>The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has moved into the next phase of its Control of Revolutionary Aircraft with Novel Effectors program, or CRANE. The project is centered on an experimental uncrewed aircraft, which Aurora Flight Sciences is developing, that does not have traditional moving surfaces to control the aircraft in flight.

smooth course variation ? yes, sure

you need energy to "change course" from a straight line

Stick your had outside the car going 60+. You can't breathe. Wouldn't that be the same here? There is a vacuum around the craft, so where would they get the air? I mean I am sure DARPA can figure it out.... Like all the other shit they did....and who will lose? We will.

whatever, the idea is good for surveilance drones

not so much for fighter drones that have to change course QUICK

you need rockets for that

How is it better than fan blades? How’s it compress the air to get enough velocity to move it? Seems like the electrical draw of a compressor is more than what we already have.

Internal fan like a bow thruster maybe, but small drones don’t need small adjustments. Large drones yes, when they are going 1000miles at speed like a rocket ship.

Just my take.
