The plane, travelling from Vitoria in northern Spain to Majorca on Sunday afternoon, was hit by turbulence as it prepared to land in Palma as storms were lashing the holiday island. Local media reported that attendants were carrying out safety checks when the plane suddenly jolted. This threw one member of staff against the ceiling, while another was hit by the service trolley.
