>Passengers aboard a packed KLM plane were thrown into a panic when a portable cell phone charger caught fire halfway over the Atlantic Ocean. The chaos erupted on Flight KL792 from São Paulo to Amsterdam on Wednesday while most passengers were sleeping, according to Brazilian journalist Simone Malagoli. Malagoli, who was on the aircraft, said the flight was four hours away from landing when the portable charger burst into flames. Flight attendants responded quickly by putting out the fire with extinguishers, the airline said in a statement.

I thought they would have some kind of thermal bag or box for this. Silly me for thinking they would be prepared.

Make an insulated box big enough for a big laptop. Also have thermal gloves and maybe a mask/apron in there.

Burning device - get the gloves mask apron and put them on. Put the hot device in the box and lock the lid. Hit the button to power the vacuum pump. Device fire is smothered by no oxygen or water vapor.

Flight attendant #2 deals with fire using ordinary class a fire extinguisher.

High fives and applause.

Right? They are not that expensive but you would need something to pick it up so they would need some long "tongs" and one of those LiPo bags you can seal up quickly. You could have a bag every 5-10 feet since they would take up basically no room too.
