Dan reminds me of every preflight briefing i ever got in the air force.
“guys, stop crashing airplanes!”
“follow the rules.”
we even got into the details, how somebody screwed up and crashed their airplane. (even the awful details which shook us all to the core.) dont do that!
ok, i won’t. however, i’ve been flying many, many years, that fucker is right. i have never disagreed with dan. he doesn’t know me. in many situations i’ve been there done that. Lucky to be alive? No, I did followed the rules, kept my head, landed safely. I flew safely the next day. close calls happened occasionally, we reviewed what happened and what we expected to happen. why didn’t it happen when we had a plan?
well, a plan is the map we are going to follow. sometimes things happen. a map serves as a nice background for how to fix this.
