Love this plane. it’s no p-51 or spitfire but when you dig into it’s history, the fliers loved them, the enemy feared them. even chuck lindbergh flew one (rumor has it that pacifist got a kill, yes!)

Not to mention the vast majority of Reconnaissance aircraft over Europe where P-38. I think 80% of all recce photos where from a lightning.
