The soviets stole it’s design. The Japanese kicked it’s ass. It was expensive, over designed, and an udder failure in battle. The US Marines had to invade an un-invadible island to secure the defense of this horrible airplane. 20,000 marines paid the price, every Japanese soldier died on this island. For what?
Mah freedom you fuck.
Exactly, every marine that hit the beach felt the same way. And I agree however, what motivated the jap soldier? Love for their family? Love for their country? Love for their emporer? No.
I posit that they fought for honor. They were attacked by 20,000 US Marines. No way were they going to give up.
Respect to the jap soldier
Fuck the Japs. They never had what it takes to beat the USA.
