I flew the Dc-10 but I often deadheaded on the 747. What a wonderful big comfortable airplane. First class seating on a 747 just cannot be beat.
I always thought the 747 was the result of losing to the C5 as a cargo plane.
I had every opportunity to become a flight engineer on that airplane. I refused. Too big. I finally took a ride on it. That’s a big fucking airplane. I enjoyed it, but I’m glad I never became a C-5 flight engineer, those guys are assholes. They eat their own. I still remember my c-141 days, you guys are complete assholes..
