I once saw a piper landing...
When I was earning my private pilot license, I was learning from the North Island aero club in San Diego. I would takeoff on the shorter runway pointed towards Lindbergh field, I’d make a sharp turn over the docks where the US Navy Aircraft Carriers were tied up. I would look down at those tiny decks and say to myself hell no, not even in my tiny c-152 I would not try to land there. Respect to navy pilots.
Imagine those E-3 pilots that land on them.. the wingspan of those planes must be a least half the width of the deck, and they don't have afterburner in the event of a bolter. Those guys must have some gigantic balls.
