Go to a drag strip, when the 1600+HP funny cars take off, you get hit like an explosion just occurred with dynamite close by, so this is mild. Be next to an airstrip when a marine aircraft with boosters attached is taking off, makes that seem mild by comparison.
1600, I thought they had 5000hp.
A professional run at a drag strip is pretty awesome. You feel it through and through. Yet to experience boosted take off.
You know it, makes you realize how insignificant our own strength is in the world. I've stood at the end of the airport runway before when they are taking off sitting on a car hood. Was knocked off the hood onto the ground by the exhaust as the jet aircraft passed by closely overhead and it was loud like a rock concert being near the stage.
