Leul Abate (born 1954) is the hero pilot that landed the 1996-11-23 hijacked Boeing 767-200ER from Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961. I wonder how he is doing in 2020. I have the impression that he went somewhat into oblivion. Heavily underrated. *Chesley Sullenberger* (from the US1549 Airbus A320 Hudson River landing in New York, January 2009) is a household name. But Leul Abate deserves somewhat more recognition.
