There's something called information overload. The Pentagon discovered what it is when they tried to put too many heads-up displays into fighter planes. The human mind can only process so much information, and driving happens to be the most intellectually demanding activity most adults will ever engage in. I wouldn't want information projected on the road at a critical moment when a split-second decision need to be made.
