It was never and is not about children. That is just another example of Lovejoy's Law in action. The underlying reason for this bill, which was never wanted by the population, not on the agenda until it was introduced out of the blue, is to surreptitiously introduce de facto mandatory digital IDs for all Australians and require them to register with the goverment and effectively let the government monitor their internet usage. The purpose of that is to "combat misinformation", which is really that the government wants to monitor the population and censor and/or outlaw disagreement with the policies and procedures of the bureaucracy. If they do not effectively mandate some sort of digital ID, this bill will be impossible to implement.

It is always about controlling you and controlling information.

Any time someone says "think of the children" look at them like the lier they are and question EVERY single thing that comes out of their mouth. They are either Lying, stupid, evil, or all of the above.
