It is not just the casino laundering dirty money for the mafia. Westpac got done in 2020 and CBA in 2017 for the same crimes. I don't recall who the third bank was top of my head but especially between 2014 to 2017 more than $100 million in drug money was siphoned through major Australian banks before moving offshore to south-east Asia and the Middle East.
Corruption is rife in government, in multinational corporations, unions, the banks, every recent commission, the police force, the list goes on and on.
Also as Barton resigns from the board he walks away with a nice paycheck and some huge FU money, plus CEOs never get retired or sacked, they only move to become CEO of another company.
