Improving upon what little we know to be true, is better than basing a belief system on zero evidence. At least with agnosticism, they have the view that the existence of deities is unknown from their own personal experience.
They don't assert divinity it to be true based on nothing.
I merely surmise I don't believe in a god because it has not been proven to be true. If anyone can prove it, I'm all in. You can't ask more of me than that.
