I find myself surprised ihere isn't an "eclipse glasses mandate" for the 72 hours around the event, forcing people to wear them at all times, even when indoors and not looking at the sun, even not during the eclipse. Only for it to be revealed that the glasses gave a false sense of security and half the ones distributed actually were ineffective at preventing blindness.
