That’s a good point, what I’m saying though is we don’t even know if another evolutionary path that far diverged from ours is possible we just assume it is. By our path I mean how life on earth went.

It's also possible that there is only left handed living molecules that always assemble into the four groups that make up DNA. We'll find out someday. I'm pretty sure that unless the greys make an entrance on network TV, I won't find out in my lifetime. I once calculated (okay, guesstimated) that it would take over 1000 years to reach all possible planets that may be habitable, due to distance and travel speed limitations.
