Make a long exposure photo like this but with bird flight and you could say the resulting image is proof of "bird pollution". I know what you're trying to push here, but it's bullshit because it doesn't tell the story in a truthful manner. The lines that have regular interval dots are planes with flashing lights. Satellites don't flash like that. That alone makes this dubious.

No, your right!

But it give an estimate of how much light crap there is overhead. It also doesn't take into account the crap from ground base light sources like cities.

But it does give you an understanding of why Astronomers are so pissed with Elon's StarLink.

Not without knowing the camera settings, exposure time and sensitivity to light of the sensor/film. There's not enough hard information here to determine any such thing as the light pollution. You can do this same thing with stars so does that mean we have too much light pollution from stars too?

Well it's not the intensity but the number.
