I think you haven't met many Europeans....because for the most part they smell. Not saying that to hurt our Euro bros, but I've met many and by and large they will smell more often than not. Meaning they do not adhere to the modern age of daily bathing. Regardless, underwear should be worn. Let's you wear shorts and pants multiple times without them getting too funky.
