I've seen a couple of posts on these, thank you @level_101 and @stupidbird.

Is anyone here actively using either of these systems? Do you have repeaters setup?

I've looked into both networks in both of my areas of operation, Mt Rainier WA area and Lake Fork TX area. Meshcore has more nodes "closer" to me in WA but neither has any real presance around Lake Fork.

I think these both look pretty interesting, I've watched some jew tube videos and they both have their fans and they both have people who say the other one sucks.

Looking for real world experience if you actually using one or both of these systems.

When you set up the repeater node does it automatically ad it to the map? Seems like you're doxxing your exact location.

No, you will need to add them manually, or if they are visible to the public, someone else can. I do not post my repeaters on a map, but if I did they would be on my neighbors property, map wise. Only the real radio geeks would triangulate the true location, so I'm not too worried.
