I've seen a couple of posts on these, thank you @level_101 and @stupidbird.

Is anyone here actively using either of these systems? Do you have repeaters setup?

I've looked into both networks in both of my areas of operation, Mt Rainier WA area and Lake Fork TX area. Meshcore has more nodes "closer" to me in WA but neither has any real presance around Lake Fork.

I think these both look pretty interesting, I've watched some jew tube videos and they both have their fans and they both have people who say the other one sucks.

Looking for real world experience if you actually using one or both of these systems.

Meshtastic. I have some handhelds never got to turning on and configuring.

Is there a way to internet bridge the two systems? Or is that a thing. So you could core local convert to tastic and then node out close to tx?

I'm about in the same boat. I have a couple of mini nodes, and a couple of handhelds, but haven't actually done anything meaningful with them. I never got anything on any of them other than my local test messages. My terrain is pretty challenging so maybe that plays into it.

Needs Elon to add repeaters in Starlink birds.

Not sure 915Mhz has the range for that, but that'd be amazing. And probably commercialized immediately so the freq would get jewed.

I have no idea, just starting to look into these. Seems pretty interesting.
