Probably not. I've considered making one just to follow a few things but never do it. Same with Facebook. Create an account just to use the marketplace. I wish craigslist wasn't crap these days.
I created my account decades ago and still use it daily. I have a list of people/accounts that I follow and those are the account that I read. (At the top of your timeline, click on the Following tab.) If you use the default For You tab, you're going to be inundated with BS. Lefties and Bots.
I rarely see any lefties and bots in my 'For You' tab, if at all. Guess I'm just lucky.
Grok is one of the better freeware AIs. If you want to see if an AI has been dumbed down try getting it to tell you racist jokes. Last time I checked Grok would.
IMO, it's kinda hard to consider Grok 'freeware' when it's only available to blue checked accounts. And you have to pay for the blue check.
I can use grok freely on my 10+yo acc no problem. At first they even let me use the expert mode up to three times a day, then unlimited, but that got removed after it got spammed or something.
There's a good amount of /ourguys and based content on there. Beware the fed, as always.
I have had an account for years. I never actively posted there and I stopped entirely a few years ago. Now I only keep it logged in to check on a few accounts I have bookmarked. You can’t even see posts unless you are logged in.
It’s the only way to follow some people, so I check their accounts directly but I never contribute anything to the site. If I see something interesting I’ll share it and talk about it in a place like Poal.
