There was a Russian travel blog (also was presented in English) that described the trip a couple of Russian tourists took to South Africa - Johannesburg, I believe - not long after the ANC took over. The cities still looked presentable, but they told a dystopian story about how feral bantu basically invaded the city and took over buildings, about how trying to reclaim them was basically a commando operation, and about how their guide told them to not give any sign they had any kind of wealth or the niggers would just swarm the car.

I can no longer find that page. I thought I had it bookmarked, but I do not. Any leads?

They did that so the kaffers can charge "tolls" on the stairwells so workers can get to their offices. EDIT: I am looking for it but the kaffers ran off the elevator repair people to keep their little enterprise going.
