This is almost certainly the key battle of the day. I’ve had some success in my immediate family making them aware that flooding our nation with non-Europeans is not in our best interests. But it’s an uphill battle every day to keep them in that awareness without burning out the relationship.

The entire, "I don't give respect to anyone, you have to earn it" parenting style that took off in the late 80's early 90's. So many parents with chips on their shoulders taught this outlook to their children. It basically gave their permission for their kids to become giant assholes to everyone. Kids grew up learning not to respect teachers, anyone in authority, and "experts". Sure there are cases where some people in those roles abuse it, but it's the exception and not the rule. To teach your children to approach everyone with a level of disrespect first and making people "earn" your respect after they conform to your personal list of criteria is what I believe started the "entitled" mentality. Those asshole kids grew up into asshole people who now believe they can just make up their own rules on life and everyone they encounter must go along with it or they don't get their "respect". I really think that is the root of our current realative truth philosophy that has driven modern society to shit. Kids didn't like what they heard and instead of learning to cope with unpalitable truths, like generations before them, they felt "empowered" to reject it and profess their own conclusions as truth. Anyone who disagrees doesn't earn their respect so their view always goes unchallenged. Hence the hundreds of genders, men can have babies, and the world is going to end in twelve years.

Yeah I have seen plenty of people embrace this idea "you need to earn respect" to combat the SJW nonsense which asks you to worship each one of their perversions. But it's a mistake, you should respect everyone, and especially those who are older than you. I would say those in positions of authority too, but only if that position of authority was gained voluntarily(so politicians don't count).

The most important thing to unlearn in our society, in my humble opinion, is the idea that we deserve more than what we already have, both financially and socially.

Examples range from all forms of welfare to gender neutral bathrooms.

I would replace this mentality with the idea that we are not entitled to anything and that we should be more grateful.
