These new age radio's are all suicidal crap... Are there any pointers on a car stereo that has a playback feature for when you're listening to radio broadcast that isn't (((satellite)))?

Not really, pretty much all car radio options suck now-a-days.

What I have found to work is just carrying around a pen and notepad when I am driving.

Whenever a cool lyric enters my mind, I just write it down, close my eyes, and try to finish it, imagine what the rhythm would be, what other sounds would be in the background, et cetera. This way I don't have to rely on Jew radio, I get to make my own music in my head!

You would be surprised how well this works. Whenever I get in the zone, and employ this technique, it feels like I can hear the sounds of the song coming alive... Horns honking, tires screeching, sirens blaring...

It is a powerful method of bringing your inner music out, even when you are just bored on the interstate!

The "classical" (Star Wars themes aren't classical, it should really be considered symphony/orchestral, but anyways) station I have as a preset gives a list of music they've played each day on their website. Some of the Audacy does the same in their app.

My subaru has that feature. You need to manually activate it when you start listening and it keeps a temp file going back 90 minutes of listening. I never use it though since I stream everything on my phone nowadays
