Not a question of "if", but of when. "When" will probably be soon. Unless the CIA can engineer a color revolution. Could be this Thursday or Christmas. The press likes names like the "Christmas Revolution".
Yes, I bet they have been setting up for some sabotage too. Small scale damage to a power plant can cause them to shut down for a bit while bombing it takes years to rebuild. Small stuff can be fixed in hours or days.
I think it will be a special forces raid, publicly acknowledged, or a precision drone strike, before we get to bombings.
The only ones that will be surprised will be the ones not paying attention.
