I need 0.5 reading glasses, I bought a few in the pharmacy ranging from 0.5 - 1.0 and 0.5 is the best for me. I don't need much of a "zoom", but text is starting to get mixed and blurry and 0.5 is fixing it perfectly.

Anyway, the one's I found look horrible, but I bought them only as a test. Is there a place online to buy cheap reading glasses that ships world wide? Sure I could use Amazon, but I want to see (LOL) if there are any alternatives.

I need 0.5 reading glasses

Subtle flex right there, trying to brag about being a literate Slav

When I get my glasses, I will teach the whole village to read and show them your gay poetry.

When you get your glasses, you will teach the whole Village about how the enemy was never communist Russia, or even the the wicked Jews in control of capitalist USA.

The Enemy oppressing your village was always Evil Poet Theodore Kent, who whispers his wicked words into the ears of she-donkeys during the night, turning their milk sour for all the whining Croatian children.

And the gypsies.

I have a very strong prescription and use Zenni Optical https://www.zennioptical.com/. They don't validate my script so you don't need one from a doc. They have cheap frames and it's the lenses where they make their money. I'm sure you can get them cheap if you don't do fancy lenses. Even with all the bells and whistles my glasses from them are a third the price from the eye doc.

Now that's what I've been looking for. Great prices, 0.5 available, ship to Europe at reasonable rates, thanks!

I wore 0.5 today for the first time. Spent over 10h working at computer and it was a huge difference for such a small dioptry.

Oh good! I am glad I could help. I have had no problems with their glasses, they even let me order frames that technically shouldn't work with my thick lenses. I like that they don't tell me no to anything, even stupid stuff. I tried some frameless that looked great with my face but my script made me look like a pinhead. Ooops.

They warned you that if you didn't quit doing "that" you were going to go blind...

Around the age of mid-40, most people begin to develop age-related presbyopia which is caused by your eye lenses becoming less elastic and resulting in degraded focus on near objects and text. I'm assuming you're in this age range and needing only +0.5 diopter suggests you are at the beginning of the process. This is similar to my own experience but I have progressed up to requiring +1.25 diopter now. I too have shunned the notion of full prescription lenses, but that's mostly because I despise optical shop experiences. I may have to bite the bullet and see one if +1.25 starts becoming less effective for me.

I have been using inexpensive readers from SAV Eyewear for a few years now. They are not terribly stylish, but the ones I have currently have some premium features including anti-reflective coatings and rubberized arms on the frame. They are sturdy and lightweight but don't feel cheap. I got my first pair of SAV readers at the pharmacy, but I have a few more pairs from (((Amazon))) mostly as backups now. They run me around $20 USD for the style I prefer, but there are other styles that vary in price as well. These may fit your requirements and you may be able to find SAV Eyewear products at other retailers both online and brick-and-mortar as well, but I haven't tried searching as I have enough backups to last me a few good years to come.

Hope this helps.

I just hit mid 30s, but have been working a lot at the computer over the last year, often 10+ hours per day. Wore 0.5 today for the first time and it made a huge difference.

I checked SAV out, they look great, but unfortunately don't come in 0.5.

I went to the glasses shop and asked them to give me 0.5, 0.75 and 1 glasses to try on and see what works, and she just ignored me and kept pushing to get me in for an eye test. I just walked out and went to the pharmacy.

https://www.readingglasses.com/

Never bought anything from them, but they claim to ship worldwide. I have scripts so I don't really need readers.

[–] 2 pts last month

Thanks, but lowest they have is 0.75.

[–] 2 pts last month

Yeah hit a few online places and 75 seems to be the lowest on a lot of them.

My eyes are worse than that. I just get a checkup now and then to get my prescription adjusted then I order from eyebuydirect, they have worked well and are pretty good on price.

A prescription will slow or halt your condition's deterioration. And you can probably get them as bifocals.

How is your sight at a distance?

Quite good, I just have issue with reading for too long. After a while things start to blur and my eyes feel strained.

Alway best to go with the lowest magnification, which it looks like what you're doing. I started with a 1.0 about 20 years ago, I'm now at a 2.5. Amazon sucks, but for me it's cheap and easy. Also you'll go them them quick. Loose a pair, forget a pair, scratched lenses, etc.

Dude. I thought that was just a wives tale….
