The dentist is the only medical office I visit regularly (twice a year). Been with the same practice for over 25 years. They have never mentioned “deep cleaning” to me.
I've never needed one either. I actually didn't go to the dentist for about 5 years and my teeth we're fine. I had a lot of staining from tea and pomegranate juice. I do have a slight cavity they say but it's so small that they want me to fix it with using fluoride mouthwash and fluoride toothpaste. My thought was why don't we just drill the cavity out before it gets worse but what do I know about denting and teeth
Trust your instincts. I don’t believe fluoride has ever been truly proven to prevent cavities. Good luck.
