Check out
The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara for the Civil War. Novels by Robert Harris for WW2. Not really from a German perspective but still good.
Yes killer angels is good, haven’t read his others yet though. I’ll check out Robert Harris thank you.

Read about his research into the historical facts side of what he was writing about. Had to give him a read, years ago. No regrets.
Gosh I had forgotten about him. Read all the books.
Thanks, the North and South series sounds good! They are a good length to keep me busy for awhile.
"The Corps" series
W.E.B. Griffin
Interesting thanks
Killing Patton.
It doesn’t come out and name the jew, but you can read between the lines.
I saw a documentary similar to that and it was interesting. I’m sure the book is good too thanks.
Try King Rat, by Clavell.
Lookup Alan Furst. Yes he's jewish, but it's mostly fictional civilian stories during the Wars
Interesting looks like a lot of soy books, could be good.
