Level of intelligence, done people tend to be poor and have lower emotional intelligence as well. Less intelligent people have less shame and don't care what other people think of them or think its cool or to stand out in a crowd making a scene. But mainly because they are fucking stupid.

My SO doesn't understand why it is inappropriate to talk about our money/finances in public. Pray for me.

Because unlike wealthy people they can't afford to simply make a phone call and have their mate killed and disposed of at a later date in a more private setting.

Also those who swear/curse loudly in public places.

A couple of years ago, I was taking my daughter to get a new cell phone. We were looking around and I heard a couple behind me talking. Man: "Get any phone you want" Woman "Oh my fucking God! Are you fucking serious? Like fuck, if I got this fucking phone, it would be like.....fuck".

My daughter side eyed me and I quiely told her "without looking, they're trashy and they're not going to leave here with a phone".

As we're doing the sim card swap and putting on the projective screen cover etc, that couple loudly says "can someone come fucking help us? We have fucking money to spend".

An employee calls them to the counter and I get my first look at them. As trashy as I imagined by their voices. They start the process giving names and other info. Suddenly the associate tells them "You're going to have to put down a $500 deposit". The bitch shrieks "WHY THE FUCK WOULD WE HAVE TO DO THAT"? The worker replies "because you have bad credit. You don't lose the $500, you'll get it back after 6 months". The man yells "NOBODY HAS $500 TO JUST DROP LIKE THAT" and they storm off.

It is a class thing. Poor people are more likely to be trashy. This isn't to say that all poor people are trashy.

Black women are by far the most common to argue publicly, either in person or on the phone.

For wealthy folks both parties will take a status hit for a public argument because they start above zero.

Trash starts at zero and feels that winning a public argument can increase their public status. (They have a potential upside)

As everyone else said, class. We were taught from a very young age not to air our dirty laundry. And class has nothing to do with wealth or education. I grew up pretty poor, dad had a 9th grade education and mom was lucky to have graduated from high school. Sometimes, out in public, if the kids were acting up, mom would bend down and whisper in our ears, “I’m going to beat your ass when I get you home if you don’t behave.” And she would, too. In private.

When people perceive you as trash, you don't mind acting the part. When you feel as though you must present a dignified face to the world, you act as such also. In both cases, someone is getting ass fucked in the make up sex.
