Spouses cannot be forced to testify against one another.
A lot of states recognize what's known as common law marriage where cohabitation of a couple over time makes them married in the eyes of some courts.
My state is 7 years together under the same roof you're common law.
That's silly! You can't enter into a contract by just existing

Isn't the sovereignty/social security number scam just that. It's your slave id number for a contract you never signed. You simply exist.
The only state I know that is true is Ontario (most infamously Stephen v. Stawecki). I haven't found precedent in any US state.

Insurance.
I think there is something with taxes but it doesn't seem like it's worth it.
It's like the devil's money - gov't giving you back what was already yours but taken by force, as long as you stay in the three-party contract called state marriage.
I've always felt this. Id have a marriage ceremony, but no legality involved
