Apparently that question is …viral? Lots of wives are asking husbands, and are surprised at how frequently they do.

I suppose I think about it daily.… What caused the fall, what cancers were brought into Rome that aided from the inside out? How does it relate to our current day?

I didn’t realize others thought about it as well. Hanging out with the neighbors, his wife asked, and was surprised that I had answered. I think about it as did my buddy. I didn’t realize he thought about it. So question here… Do you guys think about Rome?

I wonder how big of a part Jews played in Rome’s downfall.

The historical record is virtually barren regarding this issue - although Flavius Josephus does provide some insight - and I have studied Rome for years.

Everything I know about the Jews indicates that they would NEVER forgive and/or forget about their temple being burned - celebrated on the Arch of Titus - and would vow to destroy whoever did it. We know they play the long game.

Open and unchecked immigration and easy citizenship, bread and circuses, and currency debasement/devaluation played huge roles in the downfall of Rome.

I wonder, but cannot yet confirm. I just have a sneaking suspicion that they played their usual role by subverting the empire in key locations and positions.

The template is so consistent…as another said, there are patterns throughout history; this seems like a consistent one. Russia, the US, Rome…lots of consistencies.
