Tipping is a predatory construct made by cheap kikes to make you feel responsible for if the waiter eats tonight or not.
Any service that has to put their hands on you, or your car.
I don't know why, but gynecology just popped right into my head...
Just felt like sharing a very uncomfortable thought. Have a great day.
A tip is warranted for extraordinary service above and beyond their usual job title - it is not a mandatory requirement to do the bare minimum. That is the criteria on whether or not I tip someone.
Without tips. This way people in the service industry would know exactly how much they'd be taking home. This way there wouldn't be any "days with less tips."
I'd guess that taxation is what ruins tipping. Instead of being something private between the patrons and the server, it becomes something they have to give to management, to be divided among everyone (there goes its main purpose), to be reported to the government and taxed. It also has to be secret from management so they don't adjust pay based on tips.
Yes, IMHO the reporting and taxation scheme is a big deal and it ruins the whole philosophy of tipping and tip sharing, which ideally should be completely voluntary.
I really appreciate tips when I was in the livery service. I took home $1,000 in tips during the Christmas season. But it can get pretty scarce and the base pay was pretty bad.
Tips but base pay must be sustainable.
Otherwise they aren’t tips anymore are they.
When I was in Australia, I waited 45 minutes for lunch in a chip shop that would have taken less than 3 minutes in the US. They had no reason to hustle. That said, I would prefer no tips, because of the awkwardness of not knowing how much to tip and when. It should be built in their salaries. You may know that SouthPark creators Matt and Trey just spent millions of dollars to restore Casa Bonita restaurant in Denver. After having trial customers to work out the kinks, they decided to make it a no-tip restaurant and triple the wait staff salaries. Everyone seems happy about it.
they figure they will need about (((6 million customers))) per night
