I could wait on the SS but I might as well take it while it's solvent. I paid for it. If my real estate venture had failed and wiped me out, I'd most likely be in a totally different situation. Yeah, I think never having collected unemployment or other assistance is getting rarer by the year and if you're of conservative temperament, something to be proud of and very thankful for.
