Just had to get more debt to get a transmission fixed. But it's better than throwing $25k at a $5k problem. Car is still mine with no payments. Other credit cards are $0 or near $0. I am looking for a second FTE so I can get CC's and House paid off ASAP. If I can get this place paid off I can work fast food for the property taxes.
My transmission just went out today, its gonna hurt my savings bad cause they arent so much.
That sucks ass dude. I am still pissed it mine is a Camry with 110k and the tranny went. So much for Toyota "built like a brick shit house". But I bit the bullet and I have a new tranny with at least another 100k. I am slapping new tired on it in a few weeks. I can cash that but there is a good chance Camry will be around for 10+ years.
That is surprising to hear of a Camry needing a tranny so soon.
Scotty Kilmer on YT mentioned Toyota had a couple of years of weak auto trannys in some cars circa 2014ish IIRC. Stay away from early CVT style trannys in all makes, the newer ones are far superior with a real 1st gear and CVT after the car gets moving.
