I am a registered voter and received a letter in the mail to report for jury duty. However, it was mailed to a different address. It was actually sent to my father in laws house. I never lived there nor am I registered to vote with that address. Did I break the law by not reporting? Is this some sort of fraud? Shouldn't it have been mailed to the address where I am registered to vote at?

California uses drivers license database. I love jury duty invalidate the bad laws or throw the guilty in jail.

Interesting. I know in California an immigrant, not yet a valid US citizen, can easily get a drivers license. Yet they can be a member of our peers, judicially. Geeze. Thanks for sharing.

Correct, so we call or go to the county website the night before your date, and if you are not a citizen or have a hardship (sole proprietor, etc) and can be excused. The last time i was called i was on a road trip for work and missed the notice and call in date. I called the clerk and they defered the call two months. When I checked on the website that next time, unfortunately, I was not needed.

Think you for sharing. I am contacting them today about it.

They would need to be able to prove you received a notice to appear to charge you. If it was sent to the wrong address then I don't see any way that could be proven.

Still they could issue an arrest warrant for failure to appear and attempt to charge you.

I would contact the courthouse and maybe speak with an attorney.

Really? That is what I was concerned about. Would that affect me if I were to be pulled over?

If the courthouse clears up the issue, make sure you have some paperwork showing as much.

Once an arrest warrant is issued, the patrol officer may have a physical copy and may not be immediately notified if it is then pulled. A good officer would check the validity of a FTA warrant, but not all officers are thorough. Phyical evidence of resolution may help you in that situation.

I will keep all the paperwork. Again, Thank you! God Bless You!

You would be arrested obviously. This is assuming the judge/court clerks have done the paperwork.

Which is why I recommend you reach out to see if they have, so that you aren't surprised later when its a huge inconvenience. They don't necessarily have to get you on a traffic stop either. If a patrol officer finds the time they might show up at your door or place of employment.

Thank you kindly for your help and advice.

I think it depends on the state, for instance in Texas it use to work that way but not anymore. If you have a drivers license your available for it. I have blown it off with no penalty yet. Im around a small town and on jury day its a fuckfest, I cant imagine what its like in a bigger town.

I am not in Texas, but can anyone there get a drivers license? Like a non US citizen? I know in California they can. Makes me question the judicial jury. Someone found innocent or guilty before their peers? Interesting. Thank you for your comment, brother!

I remember getting one when I was younger before I had ever registered to vote. I also didn't have a driver's license. I might have had a state ID.

Are you still hooking me up on a date with your cousin?

I care about you too much to do that you. They are all insane liberals and one is a tranny.. As for the poem, I painted it on a canvas instead. It isn't finished.

Aw. Lol. Any single sisters or friends in southeast Pennsylvania

[–] 0 pt

I have one gorgeous red headed sister but she is in Chicongo. As for friends...I only have a handful of them. They are beauties but don't live nearby. When I am finished with your painting poem, I will send it to a location in the southeastern region of Pennsylvania and post you a treasure map on where to find it. Are you game?

I believe they get the address from a pool of registered voters. Maybe you registered first at the address they sent it, and that pool didn’t update when you moved.

[–] 0 pt

That's the problem. I have never lived there.

[–] 0 pt

Too bad, you already voted Democrat from there.

[–] 0 pt

Lol! That reality is unnerving

That’s odd af. Wonder if the country is doing trickery. Or possibly another pool from aged appropriate members of family believed to live in same house. I’m not entirely sure. But I’d call the county up and ask wtf.

[–] 0 pt

That is what I was thinking. From advice, I am going to reach out to them. I think I will make mention about my concerns for fraud.

Someone is using your name on that address probably for voting fraud
